That's an excellent version. Houser unfortunately left WP in 2002 but John Bell's still the frontman as far as I know. Panic are one of the better country-oriented jam bands still running in the circuit today, and Space Wrangler (their debut) I still believe to be pretty underrated. |

I didn't listen to the whole thing, but just the first few tracks. Track number two was legit good, but my general impression was of something very polished and nice but not terribly engaging. I didn't think his rapping was all that expressive. Would have liked some more nuances or some more explosive production. Overall impression was of something very tasteful and pretty and moody, but in a way that came off too clean and measured.
But I don't know anything about hip hop anyway. Might be Frown and you other rap heads' album of the year for all I know. I wanna stress the fact that I thought track number two was pretty good though. That one, I could listen to again. Pretty ok at first. The guitar grooves remind me of PJ Harvey. I guess I didn't really feel like there was something here to make me come back to it, but it sounded good enough as such. The last few minutes were really annoying though. |

Will confirm that Atmosphere is lackluster on most fronts.
