Does MB have lame tastes?

When it comes to music, MB'ers are a diverse bunch. I consider this a 100% cool thing, but what would the music hipsters of the internet think if they came upon MB while failing to click a Pitchfork link? Are we lame? I know you think I am, but what about in general?

Literally all ground is covered among the MB crowd, so there's hardly any lame music that no one in here accepts. We've got acceptance of nu-metal, AOR, adult-contemporary, country, mumble rap, noise rock, jazz fusion, classic rock, mainstream pop musik... it really runs the gamut.

Does that just mean MB as a whole has no standards?

I don't see how a standard could be set, so I'm all for this mess. It's a bunch of non-conformist individuals whose musical tastes more or less match their personalities.

It probably means that about 80% of what is talked about in here is lame as **** if you're a hipster that cares about having/exhibiting refined taste.

Honestly, saying unironically that you have refined taste is the single lamest thing anyone could say.
