The majority of the music on the radio is pure puke.
That has been the case since (probably before) the 60's when I started listening to radio.
I like good songs -- preferably recorded well.
The "type" of music does not matter to me -- and, I don't have to particularly like a song to have respect for the efforts and quality of the music.
I just don't like listening to puke -- tyhat also eli9minated most of the TV programming, especially commercials./

Yes, there's a bunch of not so great things on radio and TV, but quite a few exceptions to that tendency as well, up through the decades.

When checking out the kinds of things that would never get on the radio, I also find lots and lots of frankly not very good material.
