Now that's just silly. If the vocalist is there, he/she better do something worthwhile or shut up entirely instead. Plenty of sections in progressive rock songs I've heard are undeniably vocal oriented for that matter, with not a whole lot going on musically until the instrumental sections arrive.

I've heard a bit of their stuff on Youtube playlists. Seems allright, but I'm not dying to hear a whole album.



Oh and before I forget: I don't have any complaints about Hawkwind yet. They're effortlessly avoiding several pittfalls of the genre.

You should still check out King Crimson though because they're legitimately the best prog has to offer. I can hook you up with a few albums if you like.
