TBH it wasn't the effects. Sure it was fun, pitch-bending, warping, wind sounds and all, but I only used those for, well, effect. I tended to use the strings voice mostly, with others like Spanish guitar, piano of course, trumpet, sax and flute thrown in wherever it seemed they would work. I liked having a lot of different sounds to work with, and I could "compose" () some listenable music. But I couldn't play anything by anyone else.

TBF you watched me try to play Megaman and Donkey Kong Country with a computer keyboard and I was probably drunk. I'm not that bad.

I practiced keyboard a bit for the first in months this evening. Even got a book of notes now! It's just that I can't read them, but uh, small steps, right?

TB perfectly H I do kind of experiment in a playing around sense with music as a lark on a daily basis. I made a joke a while ago about avant garde whistling but I really do just whistle randomly to the point that I'm self consciously whistling weird noises but I'm also playing around and trying to make sounds that I think are fun and cool. I do much the same with other random sounds like tapping on a desk or making silly mouth noises or whatever and I kind of do it obsessively daily. It's not something that I would ever call making music but I just like playing with sounds for my own amusement.

You should read this: https://www.ezekielhonig.com/files/E...gital_edit.pdf

Sounds are fascinating, I do weird **** and whistling/humming/singing all the time.
