Can't believe nobody's posted this one yet.

From 2cellos, a song that is a permanent fixture on my running list:

^ Two great virtuoso pieces Lilja. Thanks for sharing them! The video of the first was good fun to watch, but I enjoyed more the music of the second: that's one talented street performer.

Can't believe that no one has posted anything by Jean Luc Ponty yet, or for that matter this Curved Air track that gave Darryl Way his moment of glory:-

Also from the mid-seventies, here's Wind Words, a track from Stomu Yamash'ta's exceptional album, Freedom Is Frightening which showcases his wife Hisako on violin:-

A pity imo that the youtube poster has put up a pic of Bowie instead of the lesser-known Hisako, so here's a photo of her to redress the balance:-

Leroy Jenkins is criminally underrated imo. As far as jazz violinists go, he's number one.

The use of strings on Matana Roberts' Coin Coin Chapter One really elevate the record imo. Probably the best jazz record of this decade tbh.

Thanks Lisna!

Here are two more. Vanessa Mae, an all-around talent. Even skiid for Thailand in the 2014 Olympics.

and Alma Deutscher. I mean, the girl was only 9 when she composed/played this. To me, the piece sounds like pure, childhood joy. Amazing child prodigy.
