Default MB Artists Classics- The Cure- Japanese Whispers

Okay, we're going to take a side trip this time around. This time we have a compilation album of singles that hadn't been released on an album. Enjoy.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't do that, but I always thought this Cure album was special. Don't worry, we'll be back to our regular programming on Monday

Nah, he quit. He was heartbroken because you wouldn't insult him here.

Okay, I guess I'll get the ball rolling. I must have tripped up on this one

Best Tracks- Let’s Go To Bed, The Love Cats, The Walk

Weakest Tracks- The Dream ,Just One Kiss

Of course, this is a compilation album and, not surprisingly, the best tracks are the A sides. It’s a bit choppy predictably enough. At the same time, this is probably the album to listen to if you’ve never heard the Cure before. They were all but unknown in the US until Let’s Go To Bed which got heavy airplay on MTV. Soon, they would become one of the biggest bands in alternative rock along with U2 and REM. Anyway, a good collection of songs and one I’d recommend to Cure beginners.

7/10 (The Word has spoken )

I really like these kinds of albums that put together B-sides or other non-album tracks like covers, remixes, live tracks, alternate versions, demos, acoustic versions or re-recordings with a new lineup, etc.

Some artists have a lot of interesting stuff floating around.

A fairly good compilation album but, except for "Let's Go to Bed" and "The Love Cats", it's not a must-listen.

6.5/10
