I guess different strokes for different folks, cause I love The Strokes. Their first two albums are great. And they inspired bands like the Arctic Monkeys and probably a few others like Balkans, Elefant, The Plasticines et al. (I said 'probably' cause I have no proof, other than sounding similar to them.) The Strokes themselves were inspired by The Mooney Suzuki.The Mooney Suzuki took their names from Suzuki and Mooney, two members in Can. If you hate and are disgusted by The Strokes than take all your rage out against Can. It's all their fault.

Actually, I really like Future Days though the rest of Can I can do without. I like the Mooney Suzuki too (the lead singer reminds me of Eric Burdon for some reason). To me, the Strokes kind of sound monotonous, especially after their first album. But you're right, different strokes and all that.
