This album is sadly not available on Spotify.
There's a Youtube playlist version here that might do the trick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W17E...8F00C86A707EF1 |

When Tin Machine released their first album, Bowie mentioned that they had recorded enough songs for a double album and I suspect that this album was made up of the extra songs that didn't make the grade for their debut. It's not bad but only two songs; "Amlapura" and "Sorry" really caught my ear. The rest of the album just went in one ear and out the other.
Rather "meh" overall. 2/5 |

Another excellent TM album. Some of Bowie's best work in years. Annoying that it's only on YT so you have mismatched sound levels, and one song is live, but hey, still a great album.

I think the best tracks on here beat out the first Tin Machine album, but overall, I'm still not that into it to be honest. "You Belong in Rock and Roll" is my favorite track on Tin Machine II, but there's not much else I'm really going to get up and root for. "Baby Universe" is pretty cool though.
I also feel slightly peeved by the somewhat poor attempt at covering Roxy Music's actually very good song "If There Is Something". Bowie's take removes all the sexy swagger and swinging rhythm of the verses and unnecessarily tames a mid section vocally, while not transforming it into anything new, for a quite disappointing result. Overall, I like the sound of this album better than the previous one, but there's just not enough songs that really stick out as anything all that good. 3/5 again. Spoiler for previous ratings:

Just a suggestion: as someone whose sigs at one point almost attained self-awareness and took over my profile, and which had to be navigated around by Spanish galleons, your thing about Bowie is making your posts very long and it's quite distracting. Maybe think of spoilering it? Just an idea.

Nothing but an observation. I was made aware by other posters of how annoying and distracting my sig was at one point (an "eyesore" was how Bat described it, and looking at it, it was) so I just wanted you to know how others may have been viewing it. Or I might be the only **** complaining about it. Well, more letting you know about it really.
