I actually expected to like this trilogy of Bowie albums much better. I don't have anything against the idea of Bowie doing a bunch of pop tunes.

Well, I guess I like this better than Tonight but not by much. Listening to David Bowie during this period is like listening to Kenny Loggins do one of his soundtracks. Bang bang starts off like Danger Zone. Best tracks are Time Will Crawl and part of Glass Spider. The rest of the album is forgettable at best and sickeningly at worst. Is Blackstar next?

3/10 (The Word has spoken and is getting a splitting headache

There's a rough patch around this time, but I really do think that his albums pick up again well before Blackstar.
I basically liked everything starting with Black Tie White Noise and to the very last album. Hours being the worst in that range.

I have to replay it but if I remember I wasn't all that impressed with Hours either. Everything after that is great though. I'll probably review Black Tie and Outside tomorrow (I'm doing two or three a day while I wrap up my album project).
