Bowie doesn't have many turds in his musical punchbowl but, unfortunately, this is one of them. Five songs composed by Bowie, six composed by Trevor Jones, and one featuring music by Jones and lyrics by Bowie.
The only song here that stands out (and not by much) is "As the World Falls Down" by Bowie. The main reason it stands out is because it sounds like Bowie doing a Bryan Ferry impersonation both musically and vocally.
Bowie's contributions to this album just sound like typical mainstream pop of the time.
Dated and forgettable.

1/5
