I took a listen. As expected, it has nothing to do with The Dreaming at all. Doesn't even sound like art pop of any kind. Allmusic labels it as post punk and experimental. What a surprise.

Doesn't mean it sounded bad, of course.

Yeah, I think he's just making an arbitrary comparison because they both happen to be female vocalists, even if their styles are completely different. If one of them had a penis, even if they still had the same voice, there'd be literally nothing similar between them, beyond the vague designations of "Art Rock" and "Dance" that include everything from ELO to Talking Heads.
