Perhaps unpopular opinion:

Twisted Sister and Poison > GNR and Motley Crue.

If you think that Too Young Too fall in Love or Kickstart My heart are more heavier than songs like It's So easy or Civil War than ok, I certainly don't. And saying that Metallica are not a cool respectable metal band just because they became the biggest rock band in the world in the 90's is not really fair because they made some of the best metal albums of all time in the 80's and they are the band that pretty much are credited for inventing thrash metal, great bands like Sepultura or Slayer or Testament would probably not even exist without metallica.

Slayer's first studio album came out the same year that Metallica's did, retard. Not to mention that Motorhead had already been trashing it up for six years at that point. Dissident Aggressor by Judas Priest, Children of the Grave by Black Sabbath... I could go on. Metal was getting heavier and faster before Metallica had even formed. They didn't invent shit. They just capitalized on a sound that was already around and gaining popularity. Same as Aerosmith. And GnR. Hell, GnR is just Nazareth, only with less balls. You like them? Fine. Good for you. But don't waste your time trying to paint them as innovators.

I've got some homework for you. Go listen to the album Razamanaz by Nazareth. Then come back and tell me in all honesty that GnR aren't a bunch of suck-ass rehashers.

Hey, Oriphiel, don't forget Venom's Welcome To Hell. It was arguably the first true thrash album.

Hey I'll forgive you for calling me a retard but I've even read an interview where Kerry King even admits that Metallica were the first thrash metal band.

Fuck, man, Kerry King is so perpetually smashed on satanic crack that he'll just say whatever he thinks interviewers want to hear to get them to go away.

Oh, and by the way, this is where Metallica stole their sound from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GebuVZ7_f7M

Like, come on, man. Listen to that singer. Listen to that riff. You know it's true.

You're right Nazareth's vocals sound a hell of a lot like Axl Rose.

Did you mean to quote me?

Yeah sorry that was an accident. I clicked on the wrong comment.

Nathanblake719 05-20-2018 06:04 AM

But anyway I know what you mean nazareth sound very similar to Appetite for Destruction era Guns N" Roses.
