I did learn something interesting. Never criticize The Ramones or Black Flag on a music forum otherwise people will start to make irrelevant points about the way you post things on music banter.

If the Ramones aren't pop punk, then nothing is. They were no less smoothed out, happy clappy, mainstream friendly and neutered than Green Day, Blink and company were.
