Best thing hes ever done along with food and doomsday imo.
The abstract atmos on this is some of the best I've heard on a hip hop record. Some of the best production, bass lines and sampling I've heard on a hip hop record. Perfect run time for a hip hop record of this calibre as it doesn't overstay it's welcome. Some of madlibs best stuff on this thing too.

not even close. it’s a 10 for me as i mentioned but if i absolutely had to pick a flaw it would be that i feel madlib could’ve done a bit more on the production side. listen to any of his Quasimoto album’s and the production is twice as spectacular.

It’s not that it’s bad but Mos Def and DLS like it because it pays tribute
I know that Odd Future likes it too and that’s a better argument OF did something significant to build on it though That’s why OF, especially Tyler and Earl are far more important artists

So now i get to debate DOOM is better than OF.
![]() Short answer is.. Yes. Quote:
Also in terms of impact in hip hop, OF and Tyler gained alot of popularity through their videos while DOOM never really made shocking videos like them. He certainly doesn't have a stronger visual presentation than them but then again he doesn't need it cause his music alone carries his cred.

It soumds like you just don't want people to expand and develop on ideas once someone comes out with them. If that's the case, we should just stop making jazz because Coltrane happened.
This has aged a lot better than Deltron imo. Tribe and Wu still hold up though. Have you ever appreciated more than one artist at the same time? I also like Brötzmann more than Pharoah Sanders but love Pharoah to death.

Listen to Earl dude, he took the torch. When it comes to Earl v DOOM it's a wash imo.

earl is what people hail kendrick to be still waiting on one more project to really cement that though, but everything he’s done from Sly Tendancies forward has been elite.

It's all good bruh
Nah, it can't be. I listened to some his stuff but his flow to me is so slow and monotonous i couldn't really appreciate his rhymes. I'm basing that on the only album ive heard from him, I don't do sht i don't go outside.

His flow blows my mind tbh. Twists and turns and crazy rhyme schemes as well.
