How can you be so arrogant as to say Floyd should have split when Waters left? He may have thought he was, but he wasn't Floyd, and while the general consensus of opinion seems to be that the post-Waters albums were terrible, I personally love them. Why should someone end their career in a band just because one member - founder member admittedly, but still only one man - leaves? Do you think Sabbath should have disbanded with the departure of Ozzy? Yes after Wakeman left? Genesis after Gabriel??

Pink Floyd should have broken up on reentry.

I don't think I'm being disrespectful with anyone, I was just saying my opinion, and I can't think of any reasons that could make me have less rights to do so than the rest of the people, specially when many of them are hating on Pink Floyd here. Quote:
They did some acceptable things without Roger Waters, but I, personally don't like that albums. I'd even say they were more interested in fighting against Waters or answering to his insluts than really focusing into music. And I think The Endless River was a kind of joke. I don't know if Black Sabbath should've disbanded when Ozzy left, because I don't listen to them very much, and if I do, I only listen to the "Ozzy era". As for Yes, I think they were better with Rick Wakeman. And Genesis? They continued cause they had a man with ideas, who was Phil Collins. The band changed their style, but were still great. I don't think Gilmour decided to continue because he had interesting projects in mind, I'd even say he used the name of the band to promote himself. Same for Wright and Mason. It's just my opinion and I'm not pretending to be arrogant, if you like A Momentary Lapse Of Reason or The Division Bell, good, but I don't, and I've listened to them many times. Have a good day. |

You're right, that's ridiculous, they should have split up back when Syd left

(And I'm not an album expert!) But I think We Can't Dance is a very good one by Genesis when they were led by Collins. Invisible Touch (the album) isn't bad either. |
