hell, i even thought that "americana" (released at the same time and critically hammered) had its moments (about americana i should note that usually i dont care about lyrics and that most of these songs i dont know and they dont mean nothing to me, so i can hear them out of context. maybe this distance from american folk/culture saves the album for me)
It’s horrible. Absolutely embarrassing.

you liked something by him in the last.....say 30 yeaars?
Hell yes.

Ragged Glory
Harvest Moon
Greendale
Prairie Wind
Living with War
Le Noise

Le Noise is a personal favorite but after back to back deeply disappointing releases Psychedelic Pill and and especially the god awful Americana I guess I haven’t been paying much attention because I don’t remember listening to any of the records after that.

I thought that it was pretty middling tbh. Floss doesn't have much replay value but at least it's pretty fun while it lasts.

Well, it’s not actually making the cut for my top whatever list but I think it’s a pretty good spin. It’s not going on deep rotation though.

I haven’t gone through their entire discography but I’ve held a favorable impression of them for a long time. I saw them live about nine years ago and it was really good.

Merzbow and Pandi are already so ****ing good together, throw Haino in the mix and it's an instant masterpiece.

Big day full of pleasant surprises:

Earl Sweatshirt - Feet of Clay
Sudan Archives - Athena
CUP, Nels Cline - Spinning Creature
Uncommon NASA, Kount Fif - City As School
Cunts - s/t
Ahleuchatistas - Mister Rogers' Waters
Shahmen - Bad Dream Catcher

Both of these are great. C unts is all over the place with their influences all coming out extreme grindeathy. Very very fun.

I’m not hanging an asterisk on this but I still think he has a bigger magnum opus in him.

He’s still top of the class

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

New Earl went by pretty fast on first listen, gonna need another couple for it to sink in.

New Uncommon Nasa album is pretty solid. The tracks with a lot of features suffer from too many cooks syndrome and just dull and overlong. A few of the other tracks overstay their welcome a bit but otherwise I dig it quite a bit.
