You'd probably dig 700 Bliss. It's a little more direct than her solo stuff

Love it! They still got it. A complete mind ****. A fantastic commentary on today’s works. elph - you should check this out. This band has been riding the post-truth absurdity train since the 80’s.

I saw them perform live once. Definitely a lot of absurd humor in the presentation.

That’s cool. Do you remember if they played Time Zones and/or Christianity is Stupid? Also, they’re music is so heavily based on spliced up tape loops... did they run tapes and talk over them or how did they do it?

It was around 1999 or 2000 when I saw them. I don't remember for certain if they played either (or both) of those but I'm guessing they probably did. The show was them playing tapes and twisting knobs and pushing sliders on mixers, some minimal talking, and occasionally a bit of keyboard or guitar playing along with the audio. Most of the audio was set to screens behind them, showing clips of old stock film footage and stills from various TV commercials, movies, and educational films.

He’s so unpredictable. Psychedelic Pill was pretty lousy.

hell, i even thought that "americana" (released at the same time and critically hammered) had its moments (about americana i should note that usually i dont care about lyrics and that most of these songs i dont know and they dont mean nothing to me, so i can hear them out of context. maybe this distance from american folk/culture saves the album for me)
