It's a shame they've been spinning their wheels so much after 2008's Watershed. 2014's Pale Communion had some bright spots, but I'm amazed at how unimaginative Akerfeldt has grown over time. If he really loves the early 70's sound so much, at least get some rawer production or some tighter, groovier songwriting. Throw in some new flavors...maybe everyone around him is just a yes-man and won't tell him lol.

I still love their older albums like Damnation, Still Life, My Arms Your Hearse, etc. though.

I haven’t gone through their entire discography but I’ve held a favorable impression of them for a long time. I saw them live about nine years ago and it was really good.

Kind of hard to imagine this not being near the top.

Merzbow and Pandi are already so ****ing good together, throw Haino in the mix and it's an instant masterpiece.

New Earl went by pretty fast on first listen, gonna need another couple for it to sink in.

New Uncommon Nasa album is pretty solid. The tracks with a lot of features suffer from too many cooks syndrome and just dull and overlong. A few of the other tracks overstay their welcome a bit but otherwise I dig it quite a bit.

This is an interesting listen but I felt like it never really fully took off. Still very cool and worth a listen

This album has it all. Great song writing. Great vocals. Great production and orchestration. Instantly unassailable.
