Re: Devour by Pharmakon
I enjoyed this record and think it’s intense but I’m a big fan on the genre to begin with. Do you think this album separates itself from the pack or just another strong howler in the wolfpack? One listen may not be enough. |

I'd say that her main distinguisher is being really high quality but her soundscapes are a bit more hypnotic and swallowing than most. She also has much better production than your standard broken toy microphone in a steel bathtub down the hall recording technique that you see a lot of in the genre. Lingua Ignota is giving her a run for her money as far as innovation goes.

Only familiar with a couple of albums but she's more ethereal I guess.

Couldn’t find In the past on Spotify (sometimes you have smart search techniques) It’s going to take well into 2020 to sort out 2019 to any kind of reasonable level I'm glad I got I got a head start with taking notes of my favorite releases. In 2020 I want to do a top 50 of the preteen albums and the teen years albums |

Blue World is pretty relaxed for Coltrane, but top notch. Hard to believe this didn't see the light of day for such a long time.
