Grunge was definitely that genre that got me through those formative years. But when I realized theirs better music around, I stopped listening to it. Plenty of great gunge albums though. That's right, I said gunge.

I always preferred "Daughter" by Pearl Jam to "Jeremy's spoken" because of the buildup of emotions in it (I mean, by the end, he is practically screaming).
"Lightning Crashes" by Live I had a new appreciation for as I got older. Waay overplayed at the time, but it is actually a really good song. |
