Momma likes Chicago and Boston.
Dad liked.. um.. Houdini. I like The Pixies.

My parents were of course much older, so he was into the likes of Crosby (Bing not Nat) and Andy Williams, Perry Como etc. I don't think mam had any musical preferences (maybe Matt Munro) but she sang like an angel.
And now she is one.

My son says that most of his friends are more into YouTube videos than music, and that seems to be what most of teenagers are into in general if I go by my friends and coworkers kids. They don’t like rock and metal, that’s for certain. Most kids just like whatever the media force feeds them unfortunately. It astounds me the amount of kids that want to be "Youtubers" or "Famous Youtubers".

Still going on about whippersnapper music? How much is there to even say? I get that Imagine Dragons sucks, but it kind of sounds like you're into some dad rock too, bro. Join a support group if you need to be reassured that modern lifestyles suck.

I think most kids nowadays are listening to trap or some sht like that. Every generation creates their own trends to follow and you can't have it any other way. You don't want it another way, believe me. It's true that as we grow older we may not relate to modern musical and cultural trends but what we can do is relate to the fact that like them, we were once young and felt our generation needed its own identity.
