But... But Facelift was easily the worst Layne Staley era AIC album. Dirt is by far their best. Even without Dirt, Sap, Jar Of Flies, their self titled 3rd LP, and Unplugged are all better than Facelift. It's a good album, but Dirt blows it out of the water.

Also, as a metalhead, how could you say that AIC was the only good grunge band? I love Alice In Chains with all my heart, but you do realize there were other grunge bands who fell squarely into the heavy metal camp, right? Soundgarden? Tad? Gruntruck? My Sister's Machine? Bleach era Nirvana? L7? The Melvins? Skin Yard? Blood Circus? Hell, since you love hair bands so much, why not try Malfunkshun or Mother Love Bone? Both bands had a hell of a lot in common with glam bands of the time, and Mother Love Bone's self titled compilation was every bit as good of a glam album as anything by Guns 'n' Roses or Motley Crue. Even better, I'd say. What do you think about those bands? They got lumped in with the grunge movement during their time, but there was plenty for metalheads to enjoy in all those bands. And since you love glam so much, I would really recommend Mother Love Bone. You'll love 'em.

He's a glam metal fan. Those aren't real metalheads.

AIC's best work was their s/t. That's a pretty weird record tbh.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Hair metal dudes were badass and banged many chicks and were secure in their sexuality and I really hate grunge and Nirvana was just whiny and depressing and men in wigs are good at playing music and men in flannel are not and here's a random bunch of Youtube links of terrible songs with said men in wigs.

Grunge was the 9/11 of the 90s.
