You listen to that many in a day. As you said yourself once (kind of), that's only 2018 grindcore songs, or even less. Or one Bull of Heaven song.

Jean Grae & Quelle Chris - Everything's Fine

Abstract, satirical, heady production, cool rhymes etc. Both emcees and the (multiple) features kill it. Listen to it.

Ty Segall - Freedom Goblin: Quite possibly the greatest album Ty's ever created. It's over an hour long and 5% of it is filler. The rest is fucking balls out.

No Age - Snares Like A Haircut: No Age hasn't made a better record since their Sub Pop debut years ago. Very sticky, distorted guitar squalls everywhere and I'm a sucker for decent vocals and this guy has that lazy whatever voice that keeps this band from falling apart.

Carseat Headrest - Twin Fantasy: Holy shit. It might be lame around these parts to enjoy this dude's music. But fucking ell. It's great. I'm not the hugest fan of his last record (even though it's pretty good), but this is a fantastic indie record and should fit nicely within the genre years from now.

Hot Snakes - Jericho Sirens: This fucking album. I never enjoyed Hot Snakes previous records but this one's great for taking my daily jog. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it's pretty good.

Jack White - Boarding House Reach: I know I mentioned that the new Jack White Kinda Jack Sucked. But I take that back. It's obviously Jack's most experimental record and yes, it's a bit all over the place. But so was The White Album. So suck a dick. I was getting sick of Jack White's coffee house approach to rock music and finally I'm able to put on a decent Jack White solo album and enjoy it all the way through.

Titus Andronicus - A Productive Cough: I will go down sucking this bands dick til the day I croak. But for me it isn't hard to continue sucking on it because for the most part this record is really good. Minus the song with the chick taking over vocals, I happened to dislike that song very much. The rest though, very happy with the end results. Especially given this is the album after their sprawling rock opera which was also fantastic.

My top four albums so far are Summoning's With Doom We Come, In Vain's Currents, Visigoth's Conqueror's Oath, and Kalmah's Palo. Here's some songs I like from them.

Some comments on those albums: Summoning's new one is like if you took OMD's song structures and gave it Oath Bound's production. The closer is like Land of the Dead in terms of epicness.

In Vain's new album continues their formula of melodic/progressive death metal with a bit of melodic black metal influence, though this one has more emphasis on clean vocals than previous albums, but those vocals are usually quite good. The two bonus tracks are pretty essential, And Quiet Flows the Scheldt is epic, while Ghost Path is interesting and probably the most creative/experimental song on the album, not experimental by avant-garde standards just fyi.

Visigoth's new album is executed very well and takes a positive direction, or at least an arguably positive one as a developmemt from their debut. This one has shorter more concise songs, not epics that are too long drawn out, though they never had that problem personally. Also, the production is a lot crisper and hard hitting than the debut. All the songs are solid heavy/power metal with at least one great moment in each song.

Kalmah's new albums is kinda a mix of their most recent few in style. It's not as immediately catchy as their past two, but it is possibly more aggressive than Seventh Swamphony. It's a real grower, imo.

Ah yes, just what I want: recs from myths! :thumb: I already have the Visigoth one (haven't listened to it yet) but I'll be putting all of these on the list. You seldom if ever let me down. Thanks man; I'll let you know what I think in my "Listen with Trollheart" thread.
