A four piece group from Helsinki, Finland, playing a combination of psych-folk mixed with psych-rock. So far, this is shaping up to be my second favorite psych album of the year after Masana Temples by Kikagaku Moyo.

Senyawa - Sujud

****in **** yes. Newest release from the Indonesian duo goes into new meditative territories with heavy doom, intense kargryaa, beautiful vocals, and drones. Sublime Frequencies says that "the basic theme of the record can be summed up with one extremely powerful Bahasa Indonesian word, Tanah, which translates to 'soil-ground-land-earth'." I didn't think that they could top Acaraki, but it looks like they might have. This goes to some powerful places.

L'Eclair - Polymood

Some really smooth, keyboard-oriented nu jazz with a funky edge. Not stunning but like a lot of nu jazz it's some beautiful elevator music.

Al Doum & The Faryds - Spirit Rejoin (2018)

Spirit Rejoin

A top ten album of the year for me. Finally got around to giving it a listen several days ago and I'm hooked!

Psychedelic soul/funk/jazz/rock, reminiscent of late 60's to early 70's groups like Funkadelic and Demon Fuzz with some Pyramids thrown into the mix.

Their fourth and best album so far.

Altin Gün - On (2018)

On

The debut album from "Altin Gün"

Another album from 2018 that I only just got around to giving a listen. Solid album from start to finish. Turkish folk/funk by way of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
