not to compare them musically but it's like The Who in this category of classic bands that are actually pretty mediocre unless you were high when the albums were dropped
My Generation is about as good as old school rock n roll gets though.

You seem painfully nostalgic for a time that you didn’t even live through. By that, I mean the punk ethos of redefining talent and craftsmanship. Yes, The Who needed to be knocked off their pedestal but after that first wave of punk no wave aged just slightly it was “pssssssst we loved all that bloated rocknroll all along.” There was a creative artistic motive behind the artists that deconstructed bands like The Who but to continue to celebrate punk through that lens reeks of the same sad nostalgia that was the clinging to the 60’s in the 80’s. And now we’re talking 4 decades or even 5 plus.

So go listen to Tommy. You’re free.

I seriously thought that Frownland was joking around and with his mod-powers replaced Chula Vista's picks with all Led Zeppelin albums. I was certain Chula Vista would mix it up a bit with Frampton Comes Alive!, Blondie, and Metallica (the Heavy Metal band, not the lipstick) along with his usual penchant for championing all things Led Zeppelin.
