This album is dripping with energy, every kind of energy. The only limit is your ability to sense the full spectrum of it.
Why not? Because it's not a high energy album. It has kind of a chilly feel to it to me, both in the production and in the songwriting. Fear of Music is like that too, but it's a superior album. It's not a bad thing—I like a lot of cold albums—it just is what it is.

Everything a snowman touches feels cold.

On songwriting, Byrne's admitted style was to just throw random crap in to fit a sexy beat. And the funky beats on Remain in Light are way more sexy. Try to fit sexiness more into your life, and you'll soon see what I mean. Be a sexy snowman, dripping with cold energy.

Plus, the production on both albums is equally meh compared to their live presence.

Not unassailable but really good. Was torn between 7 and 8. 'Seen And Not Seen' and 'Houses In Motion' are my two favorites: Byrne is at his best as a vocalist the more off-the-rails he goes with the production. The biggest praise I could give Remain In Light, however, is that without it the superior Discipline by King Crimson probably wouldn't exist.
