Excellent dark ambient and he looks like he enjoys Budweiser and cunnilingus. Two great things that go great together.

Forest of Sempiternal Night by Tyrannus

This wasn’t what I was expecting. I was expecting dark ambient but it was more like neo-renaissance drone.

I liked it.

Came across another big winner today

Ian Hawgood + Giulio Aldinucci ~ Consequence Shadows

Lights on all the time. City lights in my window. **** this. We may or may not be evolving to survive in the present but we definitely evolved to survive in our ancestors’ world. A world of nighttime darkness. The screen your reading this on is thousands of times brighter than a pre-Edison night sky. Music like this helps to bridge us to this past.

5/5 Stars

The end of night
An eternal electric day is creeping across the globe, but our brains and bodies cannot cope in a world without darkness

Pulse/Quartet by Steve Reich

Octogenarian Steve Reich, one of America’s big four minimalist composers, has released a new album. Upon listening to it I was really hoping to go be the first voice on the internet noting the Aaron Copland influence but Quietus beat me to it The Quietus | Features | The Lead Review | Reach & Rootedness: Steve Reich so I can try to pick up the crumbs at what’s left. A review of the reviews? Well, Quietus understands this release much bettter than Pitchfork for whatever that’s worth. Clearly, when late in life, Reich nods to his cultural heritage we’re dealing with an important piece of music. Reich works it easily through his signature hypnotic style. Not radical and not meant to be.

lolly by oliviaway

https://oliviaway.bandcamp.com/album/lolly

Released yesterday.

Well-crafted relaxation mediation ambient music. Very pretty. Perfect for reading with the windows open on a rainy day. And that’s what I’m doing. I’ll admit it’s a flooded genre but so what? This stuff is really good. Lots of people have the means and desire to express themselves this way. Much needed peace and everything is political. Maybe even especially the personal. The world is ending. Might as well chill with a good book and some peaceful love jams if that’s how you want it and that’s how I want it. Purely. How often do you listen to something and think maybe if those cops slowed down and took some time with that they wouldn’t have raped that girl in Brooklyn?
