salts | adagios by jez riley french

https://engravedglass.bandcamp.com

Quote:
these pieces are built from recordings of architectural spaces resonating, being sounded by orchestras and ensembles playing re-scored sections of adagios - a few seconds re-scored as durational performances

recorded using JrF c-series contact microphones and adapted geophones
on and around each location

this technique of using buildings as filters for sound performances, and in and of themselves, is one that I have developed over the past decade or so and stems from my interest in sounds not normally audible to us, and on how structures affect our sonic experience.
Very subtle ambient drone.

Aren’t there at least a couple other records with very similar covers?

I wouldn't doubt it, I've definitely seen a lot of paintings like that. Gorgeous record nonetheless.

Wow

It’s been over a month

Drone I haven’t forgotten you...

Inner by Ocoeur

Quote:
Eight drifting moments meant to capture the listener, tracks like “Unseen” play in a hypnotic loop, its melody eroded by lonely drone-scapes, here we see Ocoeur at his best—eliciting a soothing ambient trajectory like no other.
