The only legit measure is whether or not I declare it unassailable.

At one time Music Banter had higher standards than RYM, the benchmark was 8/10 at the start of of MB Classics. However they lowered the bar to allow more albums in.

Actually the only measure is if it makes my annual top twenty-five

You left off the unassailable Elizabeth Cotten.

What happens if it ain't a really good year? I can't really think of 25 albums of 1985 to write home about. Hunting High and Low was the #1 album of the year though.

I'm teasing. Of course Blank can make the criteria; it's still his thread.

I am not missing out on the humour. However I am curious cause imho not all years are created equal. I couldn't fit enough albums on 25 albums list for '69 and '70, and I would be lucky to find 10 albums for some years.

They're not obviously. I had to abbreviate my top 25 for 1955 and 1956 simply because I couldn't find enough albums. Other years, yeah, the quality in the bottom part isn't so great. Then there are other years where the quality is so good some albums didn't even make my honorable mention. Anyway, it's only my opinion. My slogan, as usual, is the only top 25 that really matters is your own.

Okay Blank is slacking off so I'm gonna make it official:

7.2 - This Nation's Saving Grace makes it in because Dude111 didn't even ****ing post so he doesn't ****ing count. I will update the RYM list accordingly. BlueHawk only posted like 4 words and shouldn't ****ing count either, but that's not my call.

EDIT: Actually Goofle never discussed it either so in conclusion, **** all of you.
