Try some songs like Je N'attens Plus Personne by Francoise Hardy, The Hurtin' Kind by The Bittersweets, Sweet and Tender Romance by The McKinleys, and Laisser Tomber les Filles by France Gall, and maybe you'll start to warm up to The Like (pretty sure you're already down with Hardy, but I'm guessing you prefer her later work).
I cried big blubbers when France Gall died.

It's true that I like Hardy. I don't know much about her discography as a whole, I pretty much just have these 5 albums:

I especially like the second one in that row.

When it comes to 50's and 60's vocal pop of varying descriptions, it's quite possible there would be some things that I could like, but generally, those genre areas tend not to be my thing.
I'm finding exceptions in most genres, really.

Why are you quoting Ori for my work?

Damn, I didn't know she had died. I'm pretty out of the loop about that sort of thing.

In fact, I usually don't care all that terribly when celebrities go. I mean, it's a shame, yet I don't feel all that much of a connection with them. But R.I.P. France Gall. You were the grooviest chick around.

Yes, yes, all right! I'm listening to it and I love it to bits! Happy? Not finished it yet but happy to give it a Love, and will return later with a more detailed review.

God damn you, Rubber Soul!

I don't know how I missed this thread for three days. I love the album and I'll leave it at that. No comments. The more I love a band or artist the stronger the impulse not to talk about them. Cause all you wankers and tossers have nothing better to do but bitch and moan about good music. ABACAB forever!!!
