Giving something a one just because you don't like the genre and you're not willing to give the album a chance at least isn't fair to fans of that genre. In your world, nothing is a classic because either you hate something that might be a classic otherwise, or most of your favorite albums might not pass muster with others. It would be like someone giving the Sex Pistols a one because they don't like punk rock and didn't bother to even listen to them. That wouldn't be fair to you, wouldn't you think?

I honestly don't know why you're bothering. Would I go into a jazz or punk album review and vote? What would be the point? You're just being your usual snide, superior self. You should just avoid voting for any albums you don't like, ie nothing that isn't punk.

If he doesn't give things like influence, context, and innovation consideration when determining a classic, why would he give a **** about being "fair"? He's going from personal taste and even though he's got a tongueful of ignorance I can still respect that as a justification in this convo.

I have to admit that I haven't listened to this album a lot because whenever I'm in the mood for Slayer I go for Decade Of Aggression.
Still, from how I remember it, it's pretty much perfect and obviously influential as ****.

10/10

Also: **** you Elph. This album is punk as hell.

Bull****. If I did this you'd be calling me close-minded. How can you respect the opinion of someone who votes on an album they haven't even bothered to listen to?
