Lennon's death must have been unbelievable at the time.
It crushed me as a kid. I never trusted mankind again. I cried longer and harder than I did for the deaths of people I really knew.

1. "Everybody Hurts"

2. Straight edge/ vegan punks

3. When 9/11 happened and radio stations started playing "Don't Tread on Me" and "We're Not Gonna Take It" nonstop. It was fine for me at the time but now... cringe.

4. Post-rock

5. I don't know when "edgy"rock kids started wearing Tripp pants, whether it started with nu metal or what, but I wanted to drown all those Twatts in high school.

In no order...

U2

Sugar Ray

Female reaction to The Beatles

Jethro Tull winning best Metal band/album, I forget which one. I really don't give a sh*t about Metallica but it proved that awards shows are total bullsh*t yet can have a large affect on culture
