I think they took it down just this week.

Probably different regional licensing. Those UK bastards get TMR on Spotify too.

The lack of Beefheart does suck. Or those live bootlegs or whatever they are. Pisses me off.

No, I'm still listening to it.

Yeah, could be that I guess.

I saw it on there earlier and set it up to listen and now it’s gone. I do have Spotify set to show music they don’t have, though. The stuff they don’t have is written with dimmer light.

It’s hard to find anything not to like. The songs are very well-crafted. The vocal arrangements are fantastic. The production and the orchestration is great. The songs are catchy and fun to listen to on a pop level and the jazz and soul elements are tastefully and intelligently incorporated. It’s a good record. Voted liked it. Would probably go 3/5 stars back in the day but adjusted for inflation I’ll say 4/5 stars.

By all means very pleasant music. I very much enjoy the reverby-yet-crystal-clear sound of many of the tracks. While the vocals are good and it all sounds very appealing, I'm just not really feeling grabbed as such. Maybe with repeat listens - and I do want to return to this album. It's good music, but I wish the music and the melodies were just a bit more interesting.

I voted "liked it".

I'll do a more involved appreciation of it soon; I've listened about five times now and I want to make a proper review. But as a quick reaction, I think I pretty much loved this, and I've voted as such.

I thought most of the tracks were simply pass-able. Perhaps I'm just not in the mood, but most of this album was just not interesting in the slightest. The first track is a best by far. Rated "meh".

P.S. Also possible the poor quality of the YT tracks put me off but you know what that isn't my fault. This seems to me like the kind of album that needs some pretty flawless production.

SUGGEST ME AN ALBUM - I'm probably not going to listen to it but I will if you bother me enough.

A very well written, played, sung, arranged, and produced album. There's nothing here I didn't like musically, lyrically, vocally, or from a production standpoint. The (slight) problem was that it didn't really grab me quite the way it usually does when all of those factors are present so there was just a certain something missing which kept me from rating this a bit higher. I can see this one possibly growing on me over time, though, so that could change.
The album reminded me of a lot of 60's & 70's jazz/pop and jazz/pop soundtrack music which I tend to like. Exceptionally well done throughout and it was interesting enough for me to want to listen to it 5 times. I can definitely see myself coming back to listen to this again sometime in the future. It also got me interested in checking into their other albums, so that's a bonus in my book.

8.5/10
