What are your favorite Oldies?
I'm trying to find some more older music to listen to, what are some of your favorites? I'll check anything out but I like Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Buddy Holly, Al Green, Marvin Gaye and all that stuff. Thanks for sharing

Technically it can go back the the roaring 20s. '38 was a hot year for The Ink Spots.
Cliff Edwards - Thats My Weakness Now (December 7th 1928) The Ink Spots - That Cat Is High (1938)

I assume he's talking fifties/ early sixties. I guess my favorite artists pre-Beatles would be Chuck Berry, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley (naturally) and some blues artists like John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters with an HM to Howlin Wolf.

Yeah but why stop there? You'll miss out on music of the 20s, 30s and 40s.

It's a real shame that Screamin' Jay Hawkins didn't do the Grinch theme.
