MicShazam listens to your recs
I have different musical tastes than you, which obviously means that I'm a know-nothing pleb who needs to learn a thing or two about genre/artist X, Y and Z.
Throw music at me in the hopes that I will some day be a reformed individual with less crappy tastes in music. Educate me in the art of good music! I will listen and learn. Last edited by MicShazam; 12-15-2017 at 05:44 PM. |

Not really. It's just a bit of fun.
I know I don't exactly have anything weighty to say. It's not like I assume people somehow really need my validation. I just think one of the best things about this forum is people sharing and commenting on music, so this is just a way of generating more of that. Plus I could use some interesting recommendations. |

I really don't want to harp on this, but I'd like to point out that this was part of the original post from the beginning:
"5. Plot twist! You are more than welcome to join me as a target for other people's recommendations. If anyone does so, I'll update this post and write your name on it somehow... Then people can rec things for you as well as for me - whomever they wish to specifically target." = I'm literally inviting every single member of MB to join me. Everyone throwing recommendations at everyone else in a giant, glorious cluster****. If you think that's "presumptuous", I just don't know what to tell you. Try not to not always be such a boring *******. |

Considering how little you contribute, elph, I wonder you even stay around here. You're forever bitching about this or that, and then when someone makes a thread like this you put a downer on it. I mean, what does it matter to you? All the guy is trying to do is what we're all trying to do here: listen to new music and talk about it. What's presumptuous about that? Tell you what is presumptuous though: ****ting on other people's ideas while adding zero of your own.
How's that punk album club going, by the way?

I'm glad you started this thread. Cause there where a few things I was curious what your opinion was. First off: Sleep Party People. Like you said you don't have to listen to the whole album, but I was curious what you thought of track one and four.
