I don't know why you're getting unavailables. Maybe my recs don't work in Ireland.

Most of Fad Gadget's work isn't all that great to be honest but I always dug Ideal World. At least I'm one for four.

This is not very apparent tbh because the OP really sounds like you're expanding your taste than looking for recs that would be up your alley. Plus, thinking that you're not going to like something isn't exactly the same as a torture chamber rec.

I think you should just take it as it comes.

That doesn't make any sense. Why would you even include all these genres you don't like if you didn't want anyone to give you anything from them. You put industrial on the list so I gave you industrial. I didn't even think it was that inaccessible. I could have just thrown Throbbing Gristle at you and called it a day if I just wanted to troll you.

If you don't mind, I'm going to drop a bunch of recommendations from various albums of theirs. Just some of my personal favorites from each album.

These are not for you to do in this thread, of course. Just a primer to the band if you feel inclined to get into them on your own time

Vozrozhdeniye (2004)
Some of the vocal passages in the first of these tracks send shivers down my spine. Seriously.
1. Kolyada
2. Vozrozhdenie

Lepta (2004)
1. Marena

Vo slavu velikim! (2005)
1. Skvoz Tuman Vekov

Ot serdtsa k nebu (2007)
1. Ot Serdtsa K Nebu
2. Oy, Pechal-Toska

Goi, Rode, Goi! (2009)
1. Tropoiu Nevedannoi
2. Yarilo

Slovo (2011)
The top one of these is absolutely one of my favorite Arkona songs. The one I already posted and the second of these follow closely... Great album.
1. Arkaim
2. Nikogda

Yav (2014)
I absolutely love this album, so it gets 3 picks.
1. Arkona Na Strazhe Novyh Let
2. Zov pustyh dereven
3. Chado Indigo

Hope I didn't screw up any of the links.

Note that early 2018, they're coming out with a new album titled "Khram".
They also re-recorded their debut album last year, so there's a rather different sounding version of it to check out.

I've heard of them. I'll let you know.

Fair point. I guess it was more Batty's reaction to my "wtf"? Guess he, and others, are going to have to expect this from time to time. Not everything is going to be for me.

Yeah well I've heard TG and if they and this other crowd are what's considered "accessible" I doubt that genre will be for me.

Yep, I expected it with the Lansky track tbh.

Free jazz

John Coltrane - Dearly Beloved

Like I said, don't be butthurt if I hate your track, but that industrial yokey just took me by surprise. Not gonna sugarcoat any of my reactions here though. I will give everything as decent a shot as I can, but if I hate it, you'll hear about it. Not you personally, that's to everyone who posts.

You've heard one song. You can't just chuck a genre in the bin with such weak sauce lack of experience. Show some adventurousness. Check out that Coil track.

I've already triggered a top rating and a hate-this-from-the-bottom-of-my-soul rating, so I know you're not being biased in any direction

For the genre of folk, I'd like to submit a track. Note that while the band usually does folk metal, this track is from an album where they've stripped the metal part of the equation out entirely (the second such album from this band, I believe).

Folk music is many things, and this is very, very far away from Joni Mitchell and Mellow Candle.

Eluveitie - Lvgvs

The band is Swiss and if I'm not mistaken, they're singing in Helvetian, which is close to, or the same as Gaulish.
