Default 2017 as a whole

With only 30 days left in the year, how would you rate 2017 as a whole music wise?

It's starting to shape up towards the end of the year but up until about June or July I was really disappointed with the output. I still don't think it's going to top 2016.

Not been a great year. Only three or four releases I really looked forward to.

Wiley album
Stormzy album
Boomiverse (which I wasn't aware of until it came out)
Prince EP

Sorry about the lack of a Beatloads release man. I know I let you down.

My list of good releases from this year, around 10-15 five star releases on there.

You've actually included and rated your own albums.

I wouldn't release them if I didn't think they were great.

I don't know what "Perfecto" would actually be,
but I've had an overwhelming amount of great
music to listen to - in dozens of genres - this year.
Lots of which I hi-lite in plug after I'm able to get
around to this huge stack of goodies.

Pretty good, although I feel like a lot of the stuff I have yet to catch up to is where the real treasures lie buried.

I've got 11 pretty good albums from this year. Ranging from allright if a bit disappointing to excellent.

The list of 2017 albums that I'm interested in, but have yet to get around to so far counts 48 albums, so...

I'll usually have a better overview of a year in music halfway through the next.
In the end, every year turns out to be a great year in music if you look long enough. That's my honest experience and belief.
