It takes a long time to unpack these years with so much being released. 2016 was incredible but I’m barely touching on it. 2017 is still a whirlwind.

I found one song in 2017 that was totally the cat's pajamas and that's all I could ever ask for.

My list of albums that I'm interested in from 2016 is still 22 albums long, so yeah, takes forever to get through one year. Several years, probably, so it's impossible. A very nice problem to have: Too much good music.
I'll give 2017 a 4/5 so far, just because I expect to have missed most of the best stuff so far. |

Musically a 4.5. The year was a solid 4, much better than 2016. We all know how exhausting and shitty 2016 was.

As a year it's been close to 5/5 for me personally.
Music has been the same as usual, though I have probably tracked what I listened to and liked a lot less this year. Many albums that I loved got completely lost because I just queue stuff up and forget which album was which. 2017/5

It's been pretty damn good, a lot of really good releases this year and I thought last year was good too. This year's been better IMO, a lot of albums I was hyped on and that didn't disappoint, and some that were better than I thought they'd be.

2017 is a 4/5 to me. Like most people, I do not think it tops 2016. While the previous year may have taken some of the best musicians ever from us, it also gave us some stellar music.
This year also saw the release of some great material, like Morrissey and LCD Soundsystem´s new albums. Also, mainstream artists like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry released some decent music. Perry, for example, released the best thing she´s done since her 2008/9 debut. Big radio hits were alright this year, like Sheeran´s Shape of You, Lamar´s DNA. and HUMBLE. and this new pop girl called Camila Cabello with her Havana song. I predict she, along with Dua Lipa and Halsey, will become the "pop girls" of the early 2020´s. I´ll list some of my favorite records of 2017 so far: . Low in High School by Morrissey . Colors by Beck . Brothers of Destruction EP by The Lemon Twigs . Dedicated to Bobby Jameson by Ariel Pink . american dream by LCD Soundsystem . Abysmal Thoughts by The Drums . Woodstock by Portugal. The Man . DAMN. by Kendrick Lamar . No Plan EP by David Bowie |
