Maybe we could nominate a number of albums, and the top five vote getters would make the cut. We could do it monthly or weekly, depending on what Blank thinks.

You wouldn't have to. If there are five albums you've heard and like, you could vote on them. It would be kind of like a Hall of Fame ballot. You could also only vote on one or two. Anyway, it's a thought. No album will make the cut the way it's set up now because invariably somebody is going to rate it a 1.

Honestly I'd just like to get the most enjoyment out of talking about albums, so the more popular/well known/talkable albums just make more sense to use than just some random album some random member put forward that won't matter to most people unless a bunch of people take the time (that they won't) to actually listen to it.

I should talk more about When the Kite String Pops actually, since I haven't even said a word about it.

I agree with you. My comment about the over-thinking was more aimed at condom soul. I'm not looking to change the system when we just started. I'm looking to find ways to get people talking. I actually thank you for your idea.
