Ok. Here's what's going to happen, you get 5 submissions. Tomorrow I'll announce the first album for voting tomorrow.
I'm going to start a new thread for each album with a poll that's numbered 1-10. You'll get one week to vote on the poll. Then it closes. Using the poll I'll create an average. For the album to be considered a classic it must get an average of 7 or more(I might change this if no albums are getting in). |
I was worried about posting my five in case anyone teased me about my pedestrian indie favourites, but then I opened up the list and read it and now I don't feel bad.
1. Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? 2. The National - Boxer 3. Arcade Fire - Neon Bible 4. Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me 5. The Antlers - Hospice |
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly
Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition Sadistik - Altars Esham - KKKill The Fetus Tyler, The Creator - Goblin |
The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars - David Bowie
Bad Brains - Bad Brains Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On - Funkadelic Exodus - Bob Marley & The Wailers At Folsom Prison - Johnny Cash |
I think the albums should all have to be a certain amount of years old going by year of release maybe? Also, maybe everyone who votes should have to write a brief summary of why they think it should or should not get in to promote people listening to the album. Just a few ideas I had.
