Given that your favourite band is the Doors, we probably have fairly similar taste. Why don't we swap albums? (If it clears with Qwertyy.)

Faraquet - The View From The Tower First of all, I'm gonna guess this was elph, or maybe Aloysius. I'm going elph. I'm not sure how common math rock bands in the early 2000's are, but getting my ears connected to this type of record rarely occurs. & it's not because I wouldn't give this a listen (truth be told I've know of this record for awhile now), it would probably just take me awhile to actively seek great math rock groups. But any who, this album is pretty impressive. Reminds me of early 00's post-punk revival groups that blew up with those angular riffs and skinny jean clad hipster chic, but with actual balls and compositions. It's a shame they never made a 2nd record because why the hell not, right? Unless their demise was so toxic they couldn't muster another great album, but what we get makes up for their unfortunate hiatus. Thanks to whoever actually made me sit down and give this a go.
