For him, I found his music before I knew the ****ty things he's accused of. I still like it because I enjoy music, I don't care about the novelty of music, just the music. I'm sure there are a few artists you like that have done ****ty ****ed up things that aren't public knowledge because they aren't in the spotlight.

If the accusations end up being true, because you have to give him the benefit the doubt, and I honestly don't doubt he'd done it because he seems emotionally disturbed, (she also seems like a shady bitch too so there's probably a middle ground) then I'll probably never buy anything from him again and just steal all of his music. But I can't sit there and high road anybody. It's just the most lazy and superficial appeal to morality there is. Okay, so you won't appreciate the music of somebody who is accused of doing horrible ****, you're so above me. I hope they give you a shiny metal atop your pedestal. For me, I'm not going to fake ****, I'm not going to deny indulging in something I really enjoy and I'm not going to do what the others do and rip any musical credit or merit that he deserves just because of the **** he's done. This art speaks to the souls of a lot of people like me, and it honestly helps because I am as emotionally unstable as him so why rip the one good thing he's doing in spite of the disgusting things he's done? This whole thing where I can't like his music because of this or that just comes off really fake to me. And I'm really good at spotting fake ****.

And as for his fans being apologetic, they're ****ing stupid. I have a bad habit of liking things with ****ty fan bases.

If people actually gave that much of a **** about these things they'd speak up more about treating mental health. It's easy to point the finger and hate once something disgusting has happened, especially when it's become a trend, but to actually sit back and think, wow, these people are really ****ed up in the head, how do we fix this?

And that's not justifying what he may have done if he did it. In my personal experience I feel as though what ever emotional and mental disorders I have, I can't particularly control how I feel or these violent mood swings but I can control how I react. So, yeah, with out the influence of my chemical imbalances and emotional trauma I'd probably not do some of the **** **** I've done, but it's not an excuse. I can't blame that if I go out and hurt somebody when I know what I'm doing is wrong. It's not easy though, and I don't think I have the ability to help anybody who isn't disturbed understand what it's like. He's not off the hook if he did it and he's definitely not the victim in it, he's a piece of **** that should be punished for it, but he also needs help.

I wasn't even aware of all that, and yeah I just looked it up (DAMN). I wouldn't know how I'd feel about listening to the music of someone like Gary Glitter or that guy from Lostprophets since I never have listened and don't feel any desire to for purely musical reasons, but I'd still say separate the art from the artist. And I suppose on a more amoral stance I'd say that I'd actually be more interested in his music. If his music is dark then I'd be fascinated on a psychological level to hear the music that would come from the head of such an individual, just the same as I'm interested in the psychological level of the music from a psychopath like Varg Vikernes as it's so isolated, bleak, and misanthropic. Art isn't supposed to be comfortable, it's just supposed to be worthwhile to experience.
