This honestly comes as a huge surprise to me. I thought you liked coming here despite a few jabs here and there? You're going to leave a much, much more noticeable hole than Rubber Soul did.

Wow. This is really sad. Trollheart has been one of my friends and favourite members on here for years. He has contributed an enormous and positive amount of material, generating music discussion, reviews, clubs, games and threads.

That he finds the atmosphere on MB so disagreeable, is imo, an indictment of how we conduct ourselves as a forum. Instead of valuing and supporting members, there is, as Trollheart and many others have noted, far too much cheap sniping and personal attacking going on. An example, and just because it's on the screen in front of me, is Occult Hawk's comment about menopause. This is insulting to Trollheart and insulting to women. Of course, humorous intention, friendly sarcasm are sometimes difficult to convey online, so it's possible to mis-read what someone intends, but on the face of it, OH's comment is just a nasty personal put-down of the kind which, I suspect, has driven many worthy members away. If Trollheart is now a casualty of this trend as well, this is truly a sad day for MB.

2013-15 it was toxic.

These days apart from the Frown vs Chula rivalry there isn't really any hostility. When was the last time someone was banned?

Trollheart will be back anyway.

I usually make an effort to avoid commenting on / reading into drama, but I suspect Trollheart's writing was a sensitive spot and the final straw (see the writing thread).

Well this comment says it all. It seems either you think it’s totally okay for certain members to attack people at any moment, or you are willfully turning your heads as if to say, “I see nothing.” Did it occur to you nobody has been banned because the forum wants to tolerate bullying behavior?

So maybe your forum (and I’m saying your forum; I’m only on to post this), is at something of a crossroads. The forum can be run by the likes of Occult and Frownland or maybe the members that really matter will be the Trollhearts and Lisnaholics of the world. It’s up to you guys. I mean you’ve lost me, Pet Sounds, and maybe Troll. Who else do you wish to alienate? I can see Occult adding the names of people he’s driven away from the forum as if they’re medals of honors. That might satisfy him, but it won’t be good if there aren’t many people left.

Anyhow, maybe this is something the Mods should chew on, that is, if they really care. Meanwhile, I’ll say hi to those that were/are my friends here. If you’re interested in a writing site that does actually treat people with respect, send me a PM. My E-mail is still set to read MB messages.

Okay, Frown and Occult, show me your venom since that’s all you two are capable of doing. I’m off to friendlier pastures anyway.

Forum was worse in 2013-15.

I never attack anyone.

It is not possible to read every thread so wilfully turning my head isn't true either.

Do you use the report feature for posts you feel are overstepping the mark?

May as well point the finger at Bat for telling people to eat **** and kill themselves. (Not that Bat is a problem as he is obviously joking when he posts stuff like that.)
