A shame. Be interesting to see your most played, scrobbled etc.

No, it wouldn't, because what's played on my PC is almost exclusively for review, as in, here, and the only stuff I play that I do for my own enjoyment is on my phone while out, so it wouldn't matter. Also, it would be all the prog stuff you'd expect, mostly the same bands. Sorry.

I knew it all along.

If you just said no, you could avoid having to write up long and irrelevant excuses like this one.

I was referring to his music, obviously. Yeah, I'm familiar with his quotes. He isn't exactly the most PC person in the world, that's for sure.

I know nothing about Mayer, nor do I wish to. I went into his first EP expecting to hate or at least not be interested in it, and was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure there are hip-hop artists who have said controversial things too, but it likely doesn't stop anyone listening to them. I like his music, you guys don't. That's fine. But, like all things here, this is my personal opinion and my personal taste being expressed. I'm not trying to force it on anyone else. I'm sure as hell not going to apologise for liking his music just cos it's not seen as the done thing. And I'm not going to hate it just because someone tells me I should.

Album title: Flying Microtonal Banana
Artist: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Genre: Psych Rock/Acid Rock/progressive Rock
Nationality: Australian
Release date: February 24
Position in Discography: Ninth
Fear Factor: Moderate
Familiar with this artist? No but I have heard of them
Familiar with the genre or subgenre? No
Average RYM Score: 3.54
Interesting stuff. I'm no fan of, nor expert in, psychedelic rock, but this sounds pretty all right. The first track uses the title as its only lyric, yet it's compelling and not a little hypnotic. The rhythms are certainly engaging and seductive in a way. Gets a little wearing after a while though; much of it seems to be the same, though “Billabong Valley” and “Anoxia” change things up a little. I like “Doom City”, it definitely has something. Yeah this is all right but not really something I'd be too much into. Maybe you need to be high? Dunno. Don't see it though.

Check out more from this artist? I'll have to, as they have four other albums scheduled for release this year
Check out more from this genre or subgenre? As above

Expectation Index: 0

BTW: I do love Dee Snider for standing up to the PMRC wives the way he did.
Maybe not. I love me some Crue, but other than a few other albums from other bands I could give a **** about glam metal as it's a shallow talent pool of bands. I just love the Crue basically. If you're pidgeon holing me into the glam metal fan mold then I'd suggest reconsidering.
