And Batlord, at least you could have posted the video where the girl lifts her shirt to show her, uh, assets. :D

Maybe fashion-wise, but when it came to music, no, not really. UK Glam was based on the Hard Rock and aimed at TOTP. Disco came from R&B and Funk incorporated orchestral strings and synths etc.

(Then again, Bowie and T Rex wore makeup too. Okay, I'll shut up now)

Who said anything about macho? That album has tunes for days and you should review it to back your **** up cause it's amazing glam metal before glam metal was a meme.

it's fine I can relate but that's why I don't review albums outside my jurisdiction

I'm not sure why you would say this. I'm quite aware there's a world of music outside of prog and metal, and I don't think you'll find anywhere in any of these reviews where I say "yeah but it's not prog or metal". I'm not that shallow, nor, I hope, short-sighted?

Have you not read my classical reviews? My country ones? The odd soul one I did?

TH do you have Last.FM?

Ah, spoken like a true Crue fan.

Believe me, I did hear Motley Crue in their prime, and to me they were to Led Zeppelin what Donny Osmond was to the Rolling Stones.

But, hey, we all have different tastes. You'd probably hate some of my favorite bands and artists too. Different strokes for different folks, you know? :)

BTW: I do love Dee Snider for standing up to the PMRC wives the way he did.

You imply it when you get mad at an album for your arbitrary expectations.

Position in Discography: Seventh EP; thirteenth release

I guess this idea of releasing an album over several EPs is becoming more popular, and I didn't realise or understand, when I reviewed Mayer's previous EP that he was doing this too. I still don't get it. But I really enjoyed Wave One, and Wave Two looks to be continuing in the same vein of high quality. I've yet to hear a bad Mayer song. Admittedly, my experience so far is limited to these two EPs, but I intend to rectify that as soon as I can. Great stuff. Again.

Check out more from this artist? Absolutely
Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Yes

I listen to it for like fifteen seconds -- it's kinda hard to mess up music. But I had to stop when he started singing. I just don't like the guy nor his singing. For some reason he is the face of Blues, which makes me cringe just thinking about that. Cause I love the Blues, and can't stand the guy. I can't stand him for things he says, it's like he has diarrhea of the mouth.

No I don't. I have no interest in it. Looked at it once, didn't see the point.

Nah, that's just you.

John Mayer is now a bluesman? I thought it was bad enough when he was doing smooth jazz or whatever it was. Still, if Trollheart likes him, that's cool. Mayer's just a little too sanitized for me.
