Well this is odd: a jazz album on the list which is actually on Spotify! Apparently the guy's a tenor saxophonist and a singer. Hopefully he doesn't sing though, because if there's one style of jazz I hate (other than all of them) it's vocal jazz. This is mostly horn, unsurprisingly, though there's some nice bass work in there too. Overall though it's having the usual effect jazz has - YAWWWNNN – sorry, has on me and .... where was I? What time is it? Who are you? Yeah, it's boring and borderline annoying.

10 days into the second month of the year and not a single grindcore or death metal album? Either you're cheating and skipping albums or someone needs to find a metal list and foist it upon TH. This is bull****. And I don't know how many harsh noise albums get released in a year but I have to figure there'd be at least one by now.

Quite probably, but the same could likely be said for jazz, hip-hop, punk or any other genre you care to name. As I said, I'm going from the list shown in the OP, so if it's not on that list, tough. You can always suggest up to three that aren't on the list, at the end of the month.
