Nah, your frustration shows very clearly in many posts. Besides, it's fun.
Now go and read my review of Sepultura in the death metal album club thread and tell me what you think.

I think you're projecting. I've never taken any offense at not liking or mocking Ke$ha. She's an artist who obviously is not going to appeal to a large portion of people, and as she doesn't have an image to be taken seriously there's no reason to care if people criticize it. I just think it's sort of like complaining that Slayer make so many songs about Satan and largely ignore social injustices.

Already did. You're basically where I'm at I guess.

Kinda sound like Queen crossed with Asia when these guys start. This is not great. Is this album going to be that derivative of these two bands, maybe others? Certainly not an identifiable sound of their own so far. Opener is basically “Heat of the Moment” rewritten. Sigh. We're five tracks in before I hear something interesting, a track called, perhaps appropriately, “Useless”. All right, the next one is not without its charm, but it's going to take a lot to change my pretty low opinion of this album before we reach the end in ... let's see ... seven more tracks. All right, it's not completely terrible, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to listen to the rest of their material.

Check out more from this artist? At some point, maybe

I've heard both albums from these guys, basically the remnants of Thin Lizzy as such, without Phil, Gary or Brian. I've enjoyed both albums so hopefully this will be three for three. It still surprises me how much the singer sounds like the late Phil. Good hard-rockin' stuff, but it must be admitted it does sound somewhat rooted in the eighties, or even seventies. “Who Rides the Tiger”, “Cold War Love” and “Testify or Say Goodbye” are all solid tracks, as is pretty much most of the album. Hey, they're not reinventing the wheel here, but they don't need to. Another great album from the successors to Lizzy. Phil would have been proud. Probably.

I have no idea who The Loved Ones are, or were, so this guy's name means nothing to me, but apparently he was in that band. This is a solo album by him. It's all right but kind of meh. I mean, the first track gave me some hope it might have something for me, but since then it's been pretty generic, boring and ordinary. I'll give it a few more tracks but my finger is on that button...”Divine Lorraine” reminds me very much of Counting Crows, and, all right, “Dirty ****er” has a great groove and underlying anger to it, so maybe this is getting better. Maybe. Harmonica! I always like harmonica! Okay, I'll last to the end, but it wasn't and isn't an essential album by any means. All right though in the end.

«all right» is a 7? I feel like there might be some grade inflation happening here. Same goes for big wreck.

The Kids will know it's bull**** eh? Well I certainly do. This is amateur, childish stuff and yeah it's probably par for the course for a cross between Punk and Garage, but I ain't wasting my time on it. Where's that button? Ah...

I like to be as generous as I can with the meter. If I can get into a track or two, or more, but not the whole thing, it's going to get a higher score than if there's nothing in it for me. Basically, I'm bluffing through this and making it up as I go along, but then, you're hardly surprised at that, are you?
