So there were two metal releases in all of January? Both of which were made by bands who just so happen to be established? I think your wiki list is probably ****.

But it's clearly an incomplete list, making the entire purpose of this thread null and void.

This was addressed before any albums were reviewed but was ultimately ignored because Trollheart had already gone through the work of having an idea that is not that one.

If a mod wants to change the thread title to add "as per the Wikipedia list" go ahead. I ain't changing now. My point, which remains totally valid, is to listen to every album ON THAT LIST. I understand not every album ever released this year is on it. I don't care. I'm getting a good cross-section of what was released through it, and that does me.

No you're not.

Looking forward to your take on that Kreator album. Very mixed feelings about it myself.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm getting enough to keep me happy.

Album title: Goliath
Artist: Kellermensch
Genre: Art Rock/Experimental Rock
Nationality: Danish
Release date: January 27
Position in Discography: Fourth
Fear Factor: High
Familiar with this artist? No
Familiar with the genre or subgenre? Some
Average RYM Score: 3.46
This guy sounds really like Springsteen when the album starts, though as the song goes on that resemblance falls away. Guess it's just me. Well I don't know what the Experimental tag is doing there. This is pure straightforward rock; I wouldn't even call it Art Rock, necessarily. Good though. But nothing really special. There's a track on this called “Mediocre Man”, and while I don't wish to disparage anyone, well, if the size of the cap is correct ....

Check out more from this artist? Unlikely
Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Yes
