Album title: Revolution Come ... Revolution Go Artist: Gov't Mule Genre: Southern Rock/Blues Rock/Hard Rock Nationality: American Release date: June 9 Position in Discography: Eleventh Estimated Rating: Have I heard of this artist? No Average RYM Score: 3.43 Decent bit of southern rock all right. “Pressure Under Fire” has a nice grindy, storming feel to it, “The Man I Want To Be” reminds me of classic Kansas, and “Dreams and Songs” is a strong blues ballad, even if it does borrow a little too freely from Creedence's “Long As I Can See the Light”. You certainly get the impression (whether it's the case or not) that these are guys who spend their time drinking hard, riding 'sickles and generally raising hell. It's good honest down-to-earth rock; not a lot more I can say really. “Easy Times” is an introspective, reflective ballad, and the title track is almost an epic, edging into eight-minute territory. The closer is good too, a gutsy, rocky reinterpretation of a traditional song. Check out more from this artist? Might do Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Yes Actual Rating:

Album title: Wonder Artist: Hillsong United Genre: CCM/Worship Nationality: Australian Release date: June 9 Position in Discography: Fifth Estimated Rating: Have I heard of this artist? No Average RYM Score: 3.61 I've said it before: take Jesus out of the lyrics of some CCM and you could be listening to pop, AOR, Adult Contemporary or even soft rock at times. Laugh at them all you want (and you will, as do I, to an extent) but these people have talent. Some of these songs are better written than a lot of the chart fare, and you have to admire their dedication to and enthusiasm for their subject. Of course, if you hate all of the above styles, then there's nothing here for you, and you can choose to laugh at the music here, but I choose to afford them the credit I think they deserve. Tune out the messages from the Church and it's music you can, if you want to, enjoy on its own merits. Yeah, there are some good songs here: “So Will I”, “Glimmer in the Dust”, the title track, “Life”. Sure, it's all cloyingly sentimental, but if you can get past the self-satisfied sense of being God's chosen singing for His glory, there's a lot to enjoy here. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm supposed to be officiating at a Black Mass, and I'm already late. You know how acolytes get. Check out more from this artist? Nah Check out more from this genre or subgenre? Nah Actual Rating:

I don't recall saying their music sucked. Stop trying to put words in my mouth. I actually said the opposite. God hates you.

That doesn't really contradict what I said.

It directly contradicts it. You quoted me as saying "their music sucks but they're very talented." That's bull. The actual quote is this: Laugh at them all you want (and you will, as do I, to an extent) but these people have talent. Some of these songs are better written than a lot of the chart fare, and you have to admire their dedication to and enthusiasm for their subject.
That's a whole different thing. The only "laughing" I was doing was at their beliefs, not their music. So yeah, you are entirely fabricating something you would like me to have said, but I didn't, therefore you are wrong. QED. GTFO.

*whoosh*
I was saying that you liking it doesn't mean that it's good. I hope you didn't spend too much time on your rebuttal to my one off line.
